Coach Profile
Pat Lamb has been coaching girl's basketball since 1992. As a coach for the Bay State Magic Elite, Pat has won more than 15 State championships and taken these teams to the Nationals throughout the United States. At the Nationals his Magic teams have fared well, with the best finish being 13th out of 108 teams just 2 years ago.
As a high school girl's varsity basketball coach at Cardinal Spellman, Pat has also been fortunate to find success. Over the 10 years as the varsity Coach Pat has compiled a record of 164 - 72. Winning 4 Catholic Central League Championships, 4 South Sectional finalists and last year State Champion runner ups.
At Cardinal Spellman, Pat has received Massachusetts State Coaches Association coach of the year in 2002 and 2006. He has also received Brockton Enterprise coach of the year and 2006 Boston Globe coach of the year.
Jim Bancroft. Jim has been coaching girl's basketball for the past 20 years. Currently the head girl's basketball coach at Archbishop Williams High School in Braintree, MA, he has brought respect back to the AWHS girl's basketball program. He has coached for BSME for 10 years leading teams to AAU National tournaments, Jr Nationals, Blue Chip Tournaments and many showcase tournaments along the way. Many of his former players are currently playing college basketball throughout New England and New York. He is a former president of Braintree Youth Basketball and runs clinics and provides individual basketball skill instruction when not coaching.
Matt Mahoney. is currently the coach of the Bay State Magic Elite 14U Regional Team. He has been coaching in the AAU program for 4 years. He is now in his 4th season as the JV girls basketball coach at Archbishop Williams High School. He is also the former president of Holbrook Youth basketball. He has been coaching both boys and girls basketball for the past 12 years.
Tom Bickford. Tom is the Coach of the Bay State Magic Elite 13U National Team and the Hingham Girls 7th Grade Travel Team. Tom has coached at the AAU level for 2 years and at the intramural level and travel level for 8 years. Tom is a Past Board member of the Hingham Girls Basketball League.
Dean Beresford. Dean has been coaching basketball for more than 20 years. As a captain for the 1986-7 UMass/Boston team, Dean became an Assistant coach for the Mens team from 1987 - 1995. He has more recently been involved with Marshfield travel team for the past 5 years as well as an assitant coach with the Bay State Magic Elite 1993 team.
Steve Windwer. Steve has been coaching girl's basketball for the past 10 years. Steve is the head coach of the Bay State Magic Elite 1994 state championship team and has been coaching AAU for the past 3 years. He has been involved in Milton youth basketball and is currently serving on the board for Milton Travel basketball. He is currently the head coach for the 4th grade boys traveling team in Milton. Steve has recently been appointed assistant girls basketball coach at Archbishop Williams High School.
Stephanie Roche. and Pat Russell are the 10U Bay State Magic Elite 10U coaches. Stephanie and Pat are active in the Braintree Youth Basketball program and both coach successful Travel Teams. We both look forward to improving our Team each year and teaching the players the fundamentals and skills that each player will need at the High School level and beyond.

Ann Donnelly. Ann played college basketball at Nazareth College in Rochester, NY. She graduated holding the all time rebounding record (1102), is the only womens basketball player to combine over 1000 career points with over 1000 career rebounds. She has since been inducted into the Nazareth College Athletic hall Of Fame. Ann has been coaching womens college basketball from 1996 thru 2003 most recently with St Michaels College. She has been involved in all aspects of coaching, including college recruiting. She has been a very popular coach at our fall clinics and will be the 2007 U10 Bay state Magic Elite coach.

Lauren Fuller. Lauren played her high school ball in Duxbury. In her senior season she was the leading scorer in the entire league (over 1000 point career) and led her team to the state championship. She was chosen as All Scholastic player by the Patriot Ledger, Boston Globe & Boston Herald in 1997 & 1998. Lauren played her college ball at Bentley College. She is the only player at Bentley college to reach 1000 point mark by her sophmore season. She was selected as an All American in 1999 & 2000. After graduating Lauren had offers to play professionally overseas. She has been coaching in camps for the past 11 years and most recently has been doing small group instruction in Duxbury and with some elite AAU players. She enjoys working with both post players and perimeter players.

Doug Otto. In his first year with BSME, Doug coached the 12U Regional Team compiling a record of 21-7 while playing up against 13U teams for much of the second half of the season. Active in Scituate youth basketball for the last 8 years, Doug coaches the Scituate girls travel team where his teams have finished in first place in the South Shore League Large Town Division in each of the last 3 years, winning that Division's overall league championship for the season ending in 2007.
